Why is this important?
Colorado and Washington have voted by ballot referendum to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana while countless more have legalized it for medicinal purposes, including Maine where I (petitioner) serve in the Legislature.
It is time for the Federal Government to let states decide what is the best policy regarding marijuana use.
