Marissa Mayer: Listen to your Yahoo Customers
In spite of Thousands of signatures from Yahoo Group Owners and Moderators -- as well as group members -- you continue to force your customers to use NEO. Please leave behind the Google mentality, and give customers a true choice.
Why is this important?
As an owner and moderator of several Yahoo groups; and also a member of others, I woke up one morning to find out I was now a beta tester for Yahoo Neo. Without any advance notice, all of my sites had been changed to the new NEO version.
What is frustrating about all of this is that after THOUSANDS of complaints from loyal Yahoo users requesting a change back to Yahoo classic, Yahoo proceeded to make even more unwelcome changes. And when Owners and Users complained again, Yahoo, in its arrogance responded by saying the issues were resolved (NOT), and then closed the thread.
Yahoo is becoming the same parasite Google has become. The firm is dictatorial in how it responds to is customers and does not even offer a choice. Sneaking in like a thief at night to take control of an existing site and making changes without the group owners permission is like kidnapping or theft. People have the right to make a choice. This needs to be changed, and Ms. Mayer needs to listen to her customers.
