Marriage Equality

For too long now we have allowed the states to get away with discriminating against same sex couples. Marriage licenses are issued through the state, not through the church like some people think, and its wrong, and un American, for a state to refuse to issue a marriage license to an entire group of Americans simply because they happen to be the same gender. We, the undersigned, ask Congress to pass a law forbidding the states from discriminating against same sex couples and to redefine the definition of marriage to be, a union between two consenting adults.

Why is this important?

To get Congress to make it illegal for states to discriminate against same sex couples. To redefine the definition of marriage to be a union between two consenting adults.
