Tell Maryland Governor Larry Hogan & state legislators to reject public funding for a new NFL stadium by supporting HB 229. In 2027, billionaire team owner Dan Syder is moving the team out of FedEx field in Landover and he's already shopping for a new location.
Why is this important?
Corporate welfare for billionaire NFL team owners is a terrible investment of public dollars. But whenever football teams want to build a new stadium, governments end up in a race-to-the-bottom bidding war. That's why I've introduced a bill to create a treaty between Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia to have all three governments agree not to pay for Dan Snyder's new stadium. The bill has been introduced in MD, DC and Virginia and has bipartisan support.
