Allow Honu Coffee at Kalapaki to open. Waive the requirements for the public restroom, expedite the shoreline survey, and grandfather the requirement for a firewall on the South wall of the building.
Why is this important?
My friends are trying to open their coffee shop, "Honu Coffee," in Kalapaki, Lihue at 3480 Paena Loop. We ask that you allow Honu Coffee at Kalapaki to open. Please waive the requirements for the public restroom, expedite the shoreline survey, and grandfather the requirement for a firewall on the South wall of the building. They have been trying to establish their business and have been an incredibly positive influence on our lives and community. Their son attends our school and they are frequently volunteer to come and help, they deter crime by occupying the facility, they generate revenue, provide a perfect service to the people of Kauai, and are a great fit for the neighborhood. Please help them to stay and effectively establish their business!
