Mayor Spodofora: Honor CPL. KAREEM R KHAN with a Street!

Dedicate a street in Manahawkin, NJ to our fallen hero memorializing Kareem's ultimate sacrifice to our country, and help show Kareem's family that the community will never forget their son.

Why is this important?

When the tragedy of losing a soldier in war afflicts a community, usually the township allows the soldier to live on not in just spirit, but with a physical sign. There has been no progress made in honoring Kareem, a Purple Heart award winning soldier lost in Iraq to an IED, with a dedicated street in his hometown. We are not asking for the official name of a road to be renamed on the postal service and on maps, just a dedication as most communities in America honor their locally raised heroes.
