MD LEGISLATORS: Vote to Reduce Gun Violence
To our representatives in Annapolis:
Governor O’Malley is presenting proposals to help reduce senseless gun violence. These include a ban on assault weapons, limitations on magazine capacity, stronger licensing requirements on handgun purchases and restrictions on possession of guns and ammunition, and other gun safety initiatives. Nothing in the governor’s proposals interferes with legitimate rights to self-defense or recreation. However, they do promote our right to protection from senseless gun violence.
Now it is time for you to speak out and vote in support of the Governor’s proposals.
We are watching and we vote.
Why is this important?
We must stop the murders of Innocent victims by the use of weapons that have no legitimate use by private citizens and as a result of unreasonably lax regulation of the sale and possession of guns. The Maryland Legislature must pass Governor O'Malley's proposals to reduce gun violence.
