Stop the proposed cuts in Social Security Benefits by the GOP in its ongoing negotiations with President Obama.
Why is this important?
Originally the intent of Social Security was intended as a safety net for individuals and families without generous pensions and paid health benefits. Instead of cutting these benefits for all, we should eliminate or drastically cut them for those wealthier individuals for whom this "safety net" was never intended.
