Measure L raises taxes-misuse of public funds
Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District wants to TAX us and spend public funds, selling up to $2,000,000 in bonds to finance UNNECESSARY improvements to the Kensington Community Center. MEASURE L proposes a consultant-driven, extravagantly expensive remodel that takes our Community Center away from our community and our kids. Let's be sensible and consider Option 1, which would require NO additional taxes and provide necessary improvement, http://kensingtoncalifornia.org
Why is this important?
I am not disturbed by the additional $112 in taxes/year; as a public servant I believe we should all be good stewards of the public's funds and facilities. This $2,000,000 in bond funding is not the best use of public funds when alternatives presented demonstrated a fully functional and safe environment for a fraction of the cost and without a need for a Bond tax measure.
