Health care providers , including doctors, hospitals, and companies that provide affiliated services shall bill non insured people at a rate that is no greater than that paid by the highest reimbursing Insurance company .
Why is this important?
Why should someone who has no health insurance be billed at retail rates that are two, three or more times higher that Insurance companies or Medicare pay these providers. It is my belief that the reason that Insurance has become so essential is that it is the only way that individual can protect themselves from being gouged by medical providers.
