Given the psychological and social effects of hearing loss, we petition the Congress to include partial payment of hearing aids in Medicare coverage.
Why is this important?
Hearing loss is almost a given for seniors and can be greatly alleviated by using hearing aids. Aids, however, are prohibitive in cost and are not covered by Medicare. The social and psychological effects of hearing loss are profound and significantly affect a person's quality of life. We're asking Congress to include a partial payment of hearing-aid cost in its coverage.
