Medicare for All
Pass a plan that makes Medicare available to all Americans.
Why is this important?
Two years ago, my mother, Rhonda, lost her job. Then she lost her health insurance. She needed major surgery but was so worried about bankrupting our family with hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills that she waited. She waited until she couldn't hold off any longer without risking her life.
The Affordable Care Act (aka "Obamacare") came along just in time. Now that the Supreme Court has struck down Obamacare, my mother—along with millions of other Americans—is left once again without access to high-quality health care.
But we can use this moment to demand an even better system, a more progressive system—Medicare for All. Congress needs to know that the majority of Americans want a simple health care system that provides everyone with necessary care.
