Members of Congress should receive Medicare as their medical insurance. They are government employees, and should not be making decisions that affect or will affect all Americans while being exempt from those decisions themselves.
Why is this important?
People should be concerned about this issue, because Congress is the recipient of government largesse in a way that no citizen is. Perhaps Congress would be less glib about the changes they make that affect the elderly and disabled if they received the same insurance from the government.
