Memphis ban publically funded travel to Indiana
Dear Memphis MoveOn member,
When Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law last week, he thought he could quietly enact this "license to discriminate" against LGBT individuals under the radar by signing it behind closed doors.1
He couldn't be more wrong. Already, more than 90,000 MoveOn members have called for Gov. Pence to be held accountable—and the public backlash is only just beginning. Just yesterday, New York state joined a growing list of states and cities that are banning public employees from traveling to Indiana to put pressure on Gov. Pence.2
If cities and states across the country join in this ban, it'll send a strong message to Gov. Pence and any local government considering a similar bill that bigotry has no place in our country. Can you help fight back and start a petition calling for Memphis officials to ban publicly funded travel to Indiana?
Yes, I'll stand against bigotry and start a petition to Memphis officials to ban travel to Indiana and strengthen their anti-discrimination protections.

Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because of a request that I received from the organization MoverOn. I am against discrimination and want to support this issue.
