Why is this important?
This petition is to recognize the achievements of the Memphis Grizzlies. Not just for what they have done in the NBA, but what they have given to the people and city of Memphis: a sense of pride and community. Every Memphian is aware of the history and fragile state of race relations in the Bluff City. However, all of that is tossed to the wayside when you step inside the Forum for a Grizzlies game. Everyone really comes together. And it is truly amazing to see what a team can do for this city.
With that being said, we would like a specialty license plate that promotes what the Memphis Grizzlies mean to us.
