Michigan has already had more than it's share of gun related injuries and deaths that could have been avoided by stricter screening and registration. The U.S. Congress is considering allowing handguns purchased in states with little or no registration or psychological evaluation to be carried across any state lines. If passed and signed into law the number of accidental shootings or fatalities will needlessly be increased.
Why is this important?
The N.R.A. has taken the Second Amendment and twisted it's meaning and intent. When initially enacted, the 'right to bear arms' was intended for protection of one's home and family.....not for carrying firearms in public places, schools or, churches. Fatal gun deaths are higher in the U.S.A. than any other country on the planet !
