Military dependents & Spouses should keep insurance

I think it should be mandatory that the military keep dependents and spouses on the military member's insurance for up to one year when they are divorced or separated. Allowing them to find adequate insurance on their own.

Why is this important?

Many military dependents and spouses (both men and women) get shafted through military health insurance if they get divorced or seperate from their spouse. I've seen too many end up on their own not being able to keep up on their medical care because of lack of insurance. I've had enough patients (men & women) not wanting to leave an abusive relationship to their military spouse because of the insurance.
