Mitt Romney is NOT Safe for America
Mitt Romney, your Four (4) Item budget proposal includes severe cuts to middle class, working poor and poor, while you provide tax breaks galore to the wealthy. STOP the hemorraging of economic pain and suffering in this country. If you want our attention, STOP proposed cuts to middle class and poor, DO NOT increase defense spending by 4% of GDP as suggested and INCREASE taxes/strip subsidies on wealthy individuals and corporate America. We the people need to see economic justice to restore our TRUST in YOU and Wall Street.
Why is this important?
Romney's proposed budget cuts total spending 20% of GDP by 2016, including Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP (food stamps), compensation and pensions for low-income and disabled Vets, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for the poor aged and disabled. Also cuts non-defense discretionary spending $166B by 2016 including: aid to Public Education, Vets healthcare, Law enforcement, National parks, Environmental protection, and biomedical and scientific research. Austerity DOES NOT work in times of economic crisis as evidenced by the Greek meltdown. By signing this petition, you denounce Romney's economic agenda which favors the wealthy. Please do so ASAP before the primaries in your states. The Florida primary is on August 14 and urge Floridians to sign this petition before then.
