Montgomery County Liquor Store Business Reform

We the People of Maryland hereby petition the Governor and State Legislature to prohibit Montgomery County from exclusively owning Liquor Stores in the County. Allowing residents to open and own Liquor Stores within the County, with the County continuing to be Wholesale Supplier of Liquor, Wine and Beer and control over alcohol beverage laws. By Opening up this Industry to Entrepreneurs and residents as owners, the State and County will benefit with increase revenues from licenses and taxes.

Why is this important?

Since prohibition days, Montgomery County Maryland has operated retail liquor stores and wholesale supplier of both beer and wine to county stores. Today Consumers and Entrepreneurs can not own Liquor Stores in the County. Now is he time to privatize the county Retail Liquor Industry creating new jobs and business taxes for state and county.
