This country needs to have a moratorium on fracking until all the aspects of this potentially disastrous process can be identified and all risk mitigated. Enough pollution has occurred to fresh water wells in Wyoming and Pennsylvania to indicate this process is not as safe as the companies claim. The public should have some assurance the cancer causing chemicals left in the ground will not be pollutants later on before fracking is resumed.
Why is this important?
Energy companies that are pulling out natural gas using hydraulic fracturing leave behind known cancer causing chemicals. These companies need to justify the use of these chemicals in the process and be held accountable when this time bomb goes off.
