The banks and mortgage companies were bailed out. Now, they are not helping regular Americans who need a break. This petition is calling on banks and mortgage companies to begin in earnest to help the millions of Americans, who are underwater in their mortgages because of the crash of the housing market through no fault of their own, to readjust or refinance them.
This will ease the high monthly payments, bring home prices back to reality, free-up much needed cash, and possibly allow millions of families to keep health insurance, and other necessities within millions of American families.
A simple reduction in many Americans' interest rates, to compare to current low rates, would help immeasurably.
