Mother outraged after GoFundMe deems 4-year-old son’s picture ‘too graphic’ for site

Victory! The creator of this petition declared the campaign a success. You can still sign the petition to show support.

Oakley is fighting a rare and life threatening syndrome called Prune Belly. A GoFundMe was setup to help alleviate some of the financial strain that comes along with having a medically complex child.

GoFundMe removed Oakley's photos deeming them 'too graphic'. After saying we could use them, we received another e-mail telling us to send in another photo for them to review.

Oakley's campaign is still not listed in the public search directory.

Why is this important?

Restrictions regarding "graphic content" shouldn't apply to photos relating directly to medical treatment.

GoFundMe needs to reevaluate their policies.

No family should have to worry about whether or not their child's story is deemed appropriate during their time of heartache and need.
