We are asking MoveOn.org and all of its members to endorse South Maui State House of Representative because he consistently fights and stands with the people of Maui over the special interest!
As the youngest serving Native Hawaiian in the Hawaiʻi State House of Representative; Kaniela has delivered on his promise and $130 million was allocated to our long awaited Kihei High School that broke ground in January of 2016.
He also came out with a riveting endorsement of Senator Bernie Sanders for President, fought to pass a minimum wage increase, helped pass marriage equality, fights for campaign finance reform that is corrosive to the political process, and unlike republican governors that restrict voting access; Kaniela expanded voting access by passing same day voter registration.
Because Kaniela chose to lead with the integrity of his heart instead of the fear of being attacked by special interest; Developers that want to pave over Maui have teamed up with Multinational Corporations and the Maui Political Machine in order to elect their rubber stamp.

Why is this important?
I am starting this petition because Kaniela Ing brings a breath of fresh air into our local government. He continually uses his well-guided heart to make courageous, moral, conscious, and just decisions that serve the people of Maui. These stances sometime go against special interest. He is now under attack by the local establishment and special interests and we need the help of people from all around the world to fight back and say we love Kaniela! When we stand together we win! I stand with Kanieala Ing, Bernie Sanders, and Tulsi Gabbard!
