Why is this important?
Pink slime -- the ammonia-treated meat -- was recently rejected by fast food restaurants, e.g., McDonald's, Taco Bell & Burger King, but that is not stopping the USDA's plan on purchasing 7 million pounds for the nation's school lunch program!
