Ms. Tully: Fix Our Policies

I have a huge concern with the current policies set in place by you. Current attendance policies have been blown out of proportion. Students are sentenced to being swept in the hallway for no reason but being late to class. By being swept, students are losing MORE in-class time then by being a minute or two late. Sure, you may say the amount of tardies and unexcused absences have gone down, but I am almost positive that excused absences have gone up.

The most aggravating part, however, is not being able to leave study hall to go to the library in certain study hall classes. I don't know if you've ever stepped in the slant room, but try going there in fifth period; try sitting down and doing precaclulus homework, or studying for chemistry; try editing that essay that you have to type without a computer; try finishing that speech which is due tomorrow without a printer. Do you call that a working environment?

Please keep these concerns in mind when thinking up new policies.

Sincerely,
Another frustrated student

Why is this important?

*Note* Please, if you're going to sign, keep it serious. If we have a bunch of stupid comments, no one will take us seriously.

Sign this petition to try to convince Ms. Tully to reverse her attendance, tardy, and study hall policies. These policies are creating and excacerbating more problems than they are assuaging.

Share this petition with people on Facebook, etc. I am going to make some flyers with the link on them to put around school; if anyone feels like helping with that let me know @ Jacob Moffatt on Facebook or [email protected] by email.

We easily got past 50 signatures in one night.

When signing your name and your own message, please try to use proper grammar syntax and spelling; nothing kills a petition for education like uneducation.

Short term goal is 300 signatures.

Long term goal is 1000.
