Music requires a rating system, and radio and internet providers need to issue regular on-the-hour notices to the listening audience. Such as, "take precautions to avoid out-of-wedlock pregnancies, and artists are entertainers who avoid violence." Music videos need to begin with the notice.
Why is this important?
Youth and children can be exposed for hours daily to sexually explicit, violent, and occult lyrics and no warning or prohibition is provided. All communities are affected, but particularly African American communities, where 70% of births are out-of-wedlock, male dropout rates are about 50%, and homicides are 50% of all homicides in the nation. This is a national epidemic that will impact everyone, and this is one-step to address this issue.
