Naming Woodside Queens (Neighborhood Of Heroes)
Woodside Queens, a community in New York City, has had many of its young sacrifice so much for the city, state, and country, with the most casualties in the Viêt Nam War of any zip code (11377) in the country; two Congressional Medal of Honor winners; numerous decorated soldiers; many public servants from commissioners to beat cops; a large number of 9/11 responders; up to today with the loss of Firefighter Michael Davidson. It is time that recognition be given to such a dedicated community. Please help and sign the petition to give credit where it due.
Why is this important?
To pay tribute to those who have sacrificed from Woodside Queens, a neighborhood that has produced more then its share of heroes from the military; most highly-decorated service members (Congressional Medal of Honor winners, Silver Stars, bronze medals, Purple Hearts); 9/11 responders; commissioners; district attorneys; cops; firemen; FBI, DEA, and a host of other public servants. Woodside is truly a Neighborhood Of Heroes...
