Does our Country take elections seriously? Almost every Country in the world has a National Holiday to allow its citizens time to vote. It's about time that we did the same!
Why is this important?
The President said that he wanted to protect and encourage voting. I can't think of a better way to make voting more accessible than to free up time so that people are able to vote. The National Holiday would also free up the parking lots and schools where most of the voting is done. Also, it would free up more people to work the polls.
