We, the people, request a paid National Holiday to exercise our voting rights in national elections starting with this November 2012. The issues facing our nation are too important to not let everyone voice their opinions through their vote.
Why is this important?
There are many people who work long hours and it is difficult with the long voting lines to exercise your right to vote. I propose a national paid holiday on national voting days every two years starting with this November. The issues facing our nation are important enough to warrant this action so that everyone's voice can be heard. If someone works in an essential service: firemen, hospitals etc. 4 hours should be granted.
