Create a new national (federal, state, and local) holiday on the first Tuesday in November to celebrate our democratic right to vote and to encourage voter participation.
Why is this important?
We should celebrate our democracy and the right to vote, a right that was won one battle at a time and that continues today. At the same time a national holiday on voting day every November would remind people to exercise their right and make it easier for all people to get to their respective polls.
