Natural gas from waste vs fracking

Whilst most of the President's State of the Union speech was on the right track, there is a glaring misconception about methane gas and fracking. Methane generation from animal and human waste has been used at every sewerage plant in Britain for 50 years, every 2 farms in Shanghai province used one in 1980, and our own Wisconsin dairy farmers are making alot of money feeding electricity back into the grid whilst producing excellent fertilizer As of 2001 the landfill that capture biogas in the US capture about 2.6 million tonnes 70% of which isused to generate heat or electricity.
There is a cheap environmentally viable solution to creating energy from natural gas as an alternative to the damaging practice of fracking.
"Natural gas has a high octane rating and excellent properties for spark-ignited internal combustion engines. It is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and non-carcinogenic. It presents no threat to soil, surface water, or groundwater." US Department of Energy
Please petition President Obama to promote this clean energy rather than the costly environmentally dangerous practice of fracking.

Why is this important?

Methane gas also known as natural gas is produced in sewerage, land fills, animal waste and rotted vegetable matter.
It is environmentally friendly as it makes use of waste and as
a byproduct produces energy and excellent fertilizer. Fracking,on the other hand uses toxic chemicals, uses millions of gallons of water and can produce hazardous waste water
