Repeal the misguided, outdated and costly laws that make a crime out of simple possession and use of marijuana.
Why is this important?
Nebraska is wasting millions of dollars and untold human resources annually arresting and incarcerating people for simple possession of marijuana.
In 2 states, one right next door, possession is completely legal, and in about 20 others possession is allowed with a prescription.
With the astouding cost per prisoner and always needing more prison space and, more money, Nebraska's position on marijuana is costing us more than we, as taxpayers, can afford to pay.
