Congress shall pass an amendment that
1. limits each member to two terms
2. congressional members shall be under the same health insurance program as the rest of the U.S. citizenry
3. congressional members shall be under the same retirement program (Social Security and Medicare) as the rest of the U.S. citizenry
Why is this important?
There are far too many career legislators, too removed from the general U.S. citizenry. Our country was founded on citizen legislators and needs to be again. Perhaps then something will get done.
