TO PLEDGE OUR REFUSAL to purchase ANY new gas vehicle until a GOOD (150+ hwy range) AFFORDABLE (<$15000US MSRP before rebates) electric vehicle is immediately made available to the public. With mass production, under threat of loss of just 1/2 of their sales, this is an easily attainable target. After this election, the Enemy and Big Oil is down, but not out. We must not give it a chance to recoup. We can turn global manufacturing back towards service of the Common Good.
Why is this important?
Ford, Fiat, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, VW,et. al. are merely biding their time with compliance measures, and absolutely are not moving fast enough. Perhaps deliberately. Perhaps they do not understand the imperative of a collapsing Arctic at an ever-accelerating rate. Or the trillions of global dollars funneled to hostile forces. So we, the American Consumer, must take up that slack to accelerate mass production and beat our President's target goal of 1M EVs on the road by 2015.The sooner we kill Big Oil, the sooner we can break through to a new economy and the future It has withheld from us until now.
