New York Subway Handicap Accessibility
In 2011, I met an out-of-town friend in New York City, but her visit was somewhat hampered by the slim number of handicap-accessible subway stops. Though still one of the best public transit systems on this planet, the NYC subway needs an overhaul, and expensive though it may sound, installing elevators on all station stops is only one example.
Why is this important?
My petition is about the accessibility of public transportation in the New York Tri-State Area, specifically making the New York City Subway System accessible to all passengers at all stops during all times.
