New York Times: Shame on you for killing the NSA exposé!

The New York Times knew about the National Security Agency's rabid overreach and expanding list of abuses — and killed the 2004 story that would have exposed it.

As a result, what's supposed to be our nation's best paper spoonfed us lies about the NSA and its activities until the Guardian's Snowden revelations in 2013 — giving us almost a decade of cover-ups while the NSA carried out its illegal and unconstitutional crimes!

We denounce the paper's actions and demand top editors stick by writers like James Risen as they continue to expose that coverup and champion NSA reform now!

Why is this important?

Then-executive editor Bill Keller deliberately buried an exposé a decade ago that would have exposed the warrantless surveillance of millions of Americans, only releasing a heavily redacted version when reporters threatened to publish articles independently.
