Stop promoting the deflections and misleading information from talking heads, pundits, and politicians and give more airtime to neutral, bi-partisan sources that provide all the facts and figures surrounding an issue necessary to provide a complete picture and inform the public.
Why is this important?
Major news channels are increasingly filled with talking heads, pundits, and representatives from opposing sides. They each offer opinions, out of context "facts", deflect pertinent questions, and basically just defend their stance and attack the other side. I'm so tired of watching politicians and pundits give non-answers and misleading information that I feel I'm not getting any real news from a 24 hour news channel.
The news should be based on facts given in correct context. They should rely on neutral, bi-partisan sources that provide all the facts and figures surrounding an issue necessary to provide a complete picture and inform the public. I shouldn't have to search a fact-checking site every time I watch the news, that's their job.
