No Climate, No Deal!

Climate change is making extreme weather more frequent and severe. Last year brought us a record-breaking hurricane season, raging wildfires that scorched the West, extreme flooding, and unprecedented heat. This year alone, we face megadroughts, extreme heat waves, and severe storms and hurricanes. The evidence is clear -- we need to ACT NOW on climate change.

President Biden outlined an ambitious economic recovery plan that would create jobs, rebuild our economy, invest in clean energy, and tackle the climate crisis. However, Congressional Republicans are threatening to water down the proposal’s climate and clean energy investments, which would slow the economic recovery and prevent the creation of new family-sustaining clean energy jobs. They are adamant about stopping President Biden’s proposal to invest in climate, jobs, and justice, as a favor to their polluter buddies, even as the country tries to recover from an economic downturn while bracing for drought, wildfires, and another wild extreme weather season. Their opposition to building back better will sacrifice economic recovery.

One thing is for certain -- climate and clean energy need to remain at the forefront of any recovery package. No climate, no deal!
It is urgent that Congress pass a bill that makes the big, bold, and ambitious investments needed to tackle the climate crisis, achieve true environmental justice, and accelerate the transition to clean energy. To meet this moment, to heed the science, and to make good on President Biden’s promises, Congress must act now to deliver on climate, justice, and jobs.

Why is this important?

We can combat climate change, curb extreme weather, and spur the economy at the same time. Tell Congress ‘No climate, no deal’ and sign the petition today to show your support!
