A single judge overturned Oakland’s law prohibiting coal being shipped through Oakland. Oakland has enough local pollution to deal with. The planet does not need more toxic fossil fuels. We Oakland citizens, all Californians, citizens of the planet, must make a statement to lawmakers that we must stop the madness of burning fossil fuels.
Why is this important?
We are all affected by continuing to support fossil fuels. Oakland has a right to not have coal transported through our city.
