No Confirmation Hearings Until the Mueller Investigation Is Completed
The sole purpose of this petition is to urge the Senate to postpone the confirmation process for the nomination of a Supreme Court Justice by Donald J. Trump. The signatories on this petition are comprised of veterans and their family members.
As veterans, we urge you to delay any confirmation hearings until the investigation into charges of collusion with an adversary and obstruction of justice have been completed. This investigation has so far yielded 23 indictments despite the Trump administration labeling it a witch hunt.
Those who support and align themselves with an administration who attacks our institutions and blurs the separate but equal power of our branches of government are offensive and an assault on our democracy.

Why is this important?
Donald J. Trump is under investigation for collusion with a foreign adversary and obstruction of justice. His tenure in office has been rife with controversy. He has made many impulsive decisions that have and will have a negative impact on our country. The Mueller investigation needs to be completed before we allow another travesty created by this administration to occur. A Supreme Court Justice has a lifetime appointment. We cannot allow an assault of this magnitude to go unquestioned or standby without our voices being heard.
