No Cuts to Medicaid!

Over 70 million Americans depend on Medicaid, the largest health insurance program, which enjoys broad support across the political spectrum. The Republican plan to cut billions from Medicaid to fund tax breaks for the wealthy is both immoral and unpopular with voters in all communities. Most voters, including Trump supporters, believe the government should increase spending on healthcare.

Why is this important?

Right now, Republicans are threatening health care coverage for millions of Americans so that they can give more big tax breaks to billionaires, wealthy CEOs, and the biggest companies.

Millions of Americans count on Medicaid for health care, but the Medicaid cuts currently being debated in Washington, DC, would cut healthcare coverage for countless Rural Americans, low-income seniors, children, veterans, and people with serious disabilities.

The proposed Republican cut to Medicaid would force rural hospitals and clinics to close, put the care of over 8 million seniors at risk, jeopardize health care for new mothers, and take away health care from children. Almost half of all children in America have Medicaid, helping over 30 million children get the health care they need.
