Representatives are voting to fund or de-fund programs and issues they know little about. Resolution: committee chairs should spend one week working as a recipient; e.g. Education - one week as a teacher assistant.
Healthcare: one week as a volunteer in an ER.
Why is this important?
I have been a U.S. citizen since birth, a voter for 40 years and a taxpayer for 43 years. I cannot bear the thought that my tax dollars are being squandered or held for political ransom. Our country is falling apart and each of us must demand accountability. Thank you for your consideration.
