No More Plastic Bag Pollution In CO

The most ubiquitous consumer item on Earth, the lowly plastic bag is an environmental scourge like none other, sapping the life out of our oceans and thwarting our attempts to recycle it.
I'm writing to urge you to support a ban on single-use grocery bags. All these wasted bags end up in landfills -- at best. Often the bags find their way into communities and natural areas, including the ocean. A swirling mass of plastic bags and garbage, known as the Pacific Garbage Patch, can be found floating about 1,000 miles off the Californian coast, and it has grown to be twice the size of Texas. What’s appalling is that the American public knows this, gets it, and realizes that something must be done. Please support this petition and write a ban on plastic bags into Colorado law.
