While our legislators can't find the compassion to help people less fortunate than they by expanding Medicaid for 130,000 working poor, they are happy to accept taxpayer-funded health insurance and pension plans for themselves,.
Sign the petition to stop this practice. Our legislators "work" 45 days per year and have better benefits than most of us working 40+ hours per week. This must end, and the money saved should go to support health care services for the poor. Even if it only helps a few, it will be helping a more deserving group.
