We ask Congress to eliminate taxpayer subsidies for professional sports. No more taxpayer money for stadiums and no more tax-exempt bonds or other tax breaks. If state or local government does provide money, the US Department of Transportation will be instructed to deduct the value of this from federal highway building money coming to that state.
Why is this important?
We should no longer be forced to send our tax money to billionaire team owners or millionaire players.
