Why is this important?
The SEC routinely grants waivers to large companies Wall Street companies who break laws and regulations.
1 Regular people don't get waivers if they break a law.
2 Unequal enforcement of the law is not a free-market, it's crony capitalism.
The SEC should not have the authority to issue such waivers, they should just enforce the laws and regulations.
