NO ON KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE
President Obama - We urge you to definitively reject the Keystone XL pipeline project! You already have in place the vehicle efficiency and alternative energy programs needed to achieve energy independence.
Why is this important?
A piece on NPR predicted that President Obama is likely to approve the pipeline in the name of energy security and perhaps jobs. Given the energy savings projected from vehicle MPG savings, this is exactly the wrong message to send to the American people and the world. Instead we need to implement the recommendations contained in Amory Lovins' "REINVENTING FIRE: Bold Business Solutions for the New Energy Era".
