NO PARCC in Cambridge Public Schools

Cambridge parents and community members strongly support Cambridge teachers in urging the Massachusetts State Board of Education to vote against adopting PARCC (Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Career) as the statewide assessment system in public schools.

Why is this important?

Cambridge teachers feel that the over emphasis on testing and data collection is pulling them away from the creative, engaging teaching and learning that their students need and deserve. As Cambridge parents and community members, we wholeheartedly support our public school teachers as they advocate for the children in our community.
