No Peony as State Flower

The Peony is not a native flower of Indiana. We MUST have a native flower of Indiana as our state flower.

Why is this important?

We as Hoosiers need a native plant as our state flower; we have the Tulip Tree as our state tree, a native bird, the Cardinal, as our state bird. Why do we have a plant that is not even native to Indiana as our state flower???
