The vast majority of senior citizens are on a fixed income. Home valuations are rising in many places to supplement the States budget gaps. We want to keep our homes and still meet our living expenses. We shouldn't be paying for younger people's children to get an education.
Why is this important?
Seniors over seventy yrs. old should not be paying school tax as part of their property taxes. President Obama used this as a talking point in the 2008 Primary.
